Rebecca graduated from Queen's University in 2007 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctor, Dean's List, in 2011 from the University of Western Ontario. Rebecca has worked at Laxton Glass LLP since January 2008. Rebecca articled at Laxton Glass LLP, where she became an associate upon her call to the Ontario Bar in 2012.
Rebecca has a broad civil litigation practice, focusing on the defence of statutory accident benefits claims, tort claims, property loss, workplace & safety insurance appeals, and priority and loss transfer disputes. Rebecca has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court and the Superior Court of Justice for appeals, judicial review applications, contested motions and summary judgment motions. She has appeared on arbitrations and appeals before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Rebecca has also appeared before the Licence Appeal Tribunal as well as the reconsideration of the Vice-Chair's decision. Rebecca has also appeared before private arbitrators on priority dispute and loss transfer claims.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys running, snowboarding, reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, and travelling. Her father has instilled in her an irrational love of the Toronto Maple Leafs, which she enjoys commiserating about with others.
