Tessie completed her M.A. in English Literature from York University in 2004. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2007 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008.

Tessie summered at a large full service law firm in the areas of personal injury claims and creditor's rights. She joined the Laxton Glass LLP team after articling with a prominent civil litigation firm and continues her practice in the area of insurance defence litigation.

Her practice primarily focuses on insurance defence litigation, including first and third party claims, disputes between insurers, occupier's liability claims, property damage disputes and solicitor's negligence claims.

Tessie has assisted on a jury trial before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice involving a complex chronic pain claim. She has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

She frequently argues contested motions at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Most recently, Tessie was successful in dismissing a plaintiff's claim for delay in Zangoneh and 1220311 Ontario Inc. v. Percy.

Tessie is an avid competitive basketball player and she enjoys travelling.
