Sherica obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia in 2003. In 2007, she completed her LL.B. at the University of Windsor.

Sherica completed her articles at another prominent Toronto litigation firm and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008. She joined Laxton Glass LLP as an Associate in 2008. Her practice focuses on all areas of insurance defence litigation, including first and third party claims, accident benefits, occupiers' liability, professional negligence, dispute between insurers and indemnity claims between insurers.

Sherica has juniored in a two week jury trial, where she assisted with preparing witnesses and conducted research on the issues of consent, the reverse onus provisions of the Highway Traffic Act, contributory negligence and causation.

Sherica has argued motions in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and at Financial Services Commissions of Ontario. She has successfully defended a motion for interim income replacement benefits at Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has been successful in arguing a contested motion for production of cellular phone records.

Sherica has provided opinions on coverage issues, potential exclusions under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, priority disputes, determination of catastrophic impairment and the definition of "accident" as defined in SABS. She has also prepared application materials for the determination of issues before arbitration and has conducted Financial Services Commission of Ontario mediations. She has also assisted in the defence of an application for the bifurcation of issues in an arbitration proceeding.

Sherica is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers and the Toronto Lawyers' Association.

Having grown up on the west coast, Sherica continues to live an active lifestyle, participating in water sports and yoga. When not in the office, she can be found reading, spending time with her family and friends and planning her next travel adventure.
